My Story

As a team of Year 2 students from Stranmillis University College, Belfast, participating in Saphara's Be the Change programme, we believe that education has the power to change the world!

Saphara's partner schools in India provide life-changing education to children living in extreme poverty, children for whom education is the key to making their dreams for change a reality.

Sadly, the lasting impact of Covid has caused their families to fall into even greater poverty. After being closed for many months, schools in India have finally reopened, but hundreds of children have been unable to return. Instead, they have been forced into dangerous jobs just to help their families survive.

All fundraising for Saphara's Be the Change Appeal will help get children Back to School and back to safety!

Every £100 raised will send a child Back to School for a year.
